FRESH - rose deep hydration oil serum review

The rose range from Fresh is easily their best known range and the newest addition to the family is the rose deep hydration oil serum. It is light, hydrating and versatile serum that I think everyone would love.

I have a normal skin which tends to be quite dry during colder months.

And frankly I don't really enjoy the smell of rose in my skincare products, however I fell in love with this serum since the first time I've used it!

Product

The serum is infused with rose oil and it comes as a dual phased liquid that you have to shake before using it.

The texture is light and soothing, it does leave a hydrating layer on your skin that is different from the regular oil.

Frankly, I was a bit afraid for the smell of roses because I am not fan of that, but I was surprised of how light the smell was. While applying, the smell is very “SPA like” and it adds to the overall sensorial experience, but it doesn’t linger on the skin after the application.

Use

I use it daily morning and/or night before my face cream.

In summer on very hot days, when I didn't want to layer several products, I only used this serum without any cream on top and it provided enough hydration.

On the other hand, when the weather got colder and my skin got drier, I can apply few layers of this serum (if needed) before my cream. It isn’t heavy, it absorbs well and when used in the morning, it sits well under the makeup.

This serum layers well with all my other skincare products and is perfect underneath the makeup.

Size / Price

This serum comes in an impressive size bottle of 100ml (when usually serums are about 30ml) and it costs around 64€ so taking into account the size the price is rather reasonable for a high-quality hydrating serum.

Packaging

Very nice lightly pink glass bottle, the serum is poured from the bottle so you control the amount of product you need.

Perfect packaging, however, since it is in a glass bottle, it can be less convenient to travel with.

Overall

I love the Fresh oil infused serum because of its soothing texture, hydration and quick absorption. It could be used on any skin type.
